Client Commendation

“Henlow Church of England Academy appointed M&J Group to carry out a project at the premises. The works involved the completed re-roofing of the main school buildings.

The company managed the project to an excellent standard, both in quality of workmanship and quality of service. Customer care, communication and response times were also excellent.

The Academy would not hesitate to recommend this company for consideration in tender invitations for projects of a similar nature.”

Nestle

Project Overview

The Nestle Building received an overlay of the existing Asphalt roof, with a single layer High Performance Felt system as the existing waterproofing system had reached the end of its reliable service life. A large job, at over 7,000m2, the Nestle Building demonstrated M&J’s ability to deliver high quality works within budget and within an expected time frame.

Being a food processing factory, with no option to reduce or shut down the plant, M&J ensured that the works would have minimal effect on Nestle’s business through detailed planning throughout the process, including scaffolding design to safely enable more areas to remain open and accessible. Through careful consideration and value engineering, M&J managed to save Nestle £10s of thousands of pounds by offering a more suitable waterproofing solution which was both quicker and more robust than the previous option.

St Georges Hospital

Project Summary

This project involved the refurbishment of over 1,200m2 of flat roofing to a fully operational hospital wing in central London.

The specification called for the existing roof construction to be stripped back to the metal decking and replaced by a Marly system specification providing a 20 year guarantee.

The project was completed within a tight contract period with no interruption to the use of the hospital building at that time and all in accordance with the strict site re-strictions imposed by the client and the nature of their work.

For this particular project the client requested a “no-flame” specification to negate the risk of fire.
