Hammersmith Hospital

Project Overview

This was a highly complex roofing and M&E project that had complicated access issues both to get to the roof and to carry out the roofing once there.

Project Scope

It was made all the more complex with the plant on the roof that had to be raised and adjusted to facilitate the roofing works.

All works had to be planned carefully around the quench pipe from the MRI ducting, which was potentially lethal if disturbed.

All works were carried out using hot air welded built up felt roofing which meant no flame was used to mitigate the risk of a fire in very small spaces.

Project Outcome

In May 2015 this project was Awarded as winner of the National Roofing Federation’s award for Re-inforced Bitumen Membrane roofing.
