We are pleased to announce that M&J Group is featured in the Bedfordshire Ltd Top 100 Companies for 2017. This is a continued improvement on last year, actually fairing higher in this year’s result.

According to the Bedfordshire Ltd Report, businesses in the county are performing strongly in terms of growth compared to the rest of the UK and this is set to continue. The report, conducted by Grant Thornton, analyses the financial performance of the county’s leading privately owned companies in the county.

M&J Group were presented with the award in recognition of business performance for the year.

M&J Group pledges support to promote a safe system of work when using gas torches. Safe2Torch provides guidance for the safe installation of torch-on reinforced bitumen membranes and use of gas torches in the workplace.

The purpose of this guidance is to promote Safe2Torch specification writing at the initial survey and design stage and a safe system of work when using propane gas torches for the application of roofing membranes and the drying of roof surfaces.

M&J Group should be particular proud of this achievement, as they were so significantly involved in setting this up with NFRC.

As a Safe2Torch Registered Member we commit to:

• Highlighting and reporting specifications which do not conform to Safe2Torch
• Identifying and reducing the risk of roof fires caused by gas torches
• Ensuring all employees are trained in the use of gas torches and their associated risks
• Ensuring all supervisors or charge hands have completed the Safe2Torch checklist prior to hot works commencing

M&J Group are proud to sponsor ‘nearest to pin’ on the 16th for Stevington FC Charity Golf Day in support of the National Brain Appeal.

The National Brain Appeal raises funds for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square – one of the world’s leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with neurological and neuromuscular conditions. These include stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), brain cancer, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.

Dear M&J Group,

On behalf of everyone at Stevington FC we would like to thank you for your kind and generous support of our annual golf day. We had 35 players taking part and very few golfers if the truth be known, but then again it was the taking part and having fun whilst raising much needed funds that was the order of the day.

We are still receiving donations and collating proceeds from the day and are extremely pleased to report that we are approaching £1500 plus gift aid so far!!

Dear Colleagues, event organisers and family,

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for supporting the fund raising event we held on 1st July 2017.

My family, friends event organisers and myself are extremely pleased and proud to announce that to date we have managed to raise £3203 plus Gift Aid for qualifying donations, this being made up of £743 from the Golf Day at Pavenham Park Golf Club and the BBQ and music evening back at the Royal George and £2470 from donations.

We simply can’t believe the support and generosity everyone has shown…….. we will be proud to present the money raised to ‘The National Brain Appeal’ shortly.
